I’ve been thinking I need to work on a weight loss spell that can help me with losing weight.  I am going to make this one slightly different from any I have tried before.  Instead of some kind of candle magic or something similar, I am going to make this a full out kitchen witch project.

I’ve never done a lot of kitchen witchery, although I do know some stuff about how to get around a kitchen magically, I never tended to do very much kitchen magic.

Time to change that and get started with some kitchen witchery on weight loss spells.  I’ll be working on this later this evening, right now I have other things that I have to get taken care of.

I am thinking about starting two more areas here at the Alaskan Pagan Network, sort of personal discovery journals focused on two divination tools I have always wanted to learn more about.  The Tarot and tea leaf reading.

I have been thinking about starting up a Tarot readings journal where I can enter what cards have come up in a reading and what I think the interpretation of that reading and the cards in it is – with a comment area for others to post their own input on what the cards might be saying.

I’ve also been thinking about taking up the habit of starting or ending my days with meditation and a cup of tea, so a similar journal for Tea Leaf Readings might be a good way for me to learn more about reading tea leaves.

The Alaskan Pagan Network is now a proud sponsor of The Witches’ Voice.

On October 31st I made a sponsorship donation to The Witches’ Voice on behalf of this site, helping to assure that all who desire to believe what their hearts feel have a voice to support them in their beliefs.

I know that as I discovered more and more about the online Pagan community, The Witches’ Voice was a constant source of reference for me to go to, to seek information, to find others in my area and to simply feel that I was not alone.  I have wanted to be a sponsor for The Witches’ Voice for some time now, and decided that it was time to stop wanting to be a sponsor and start being one.

I have been finding out that one of the biggest problems I have is finding the time to do a ritual.  It seems like whenever I think I have some time to cast a circle and work a spell or something, someone comes by to visit, or someone calls or I am needed for something… even late at night.  It is driving me crazy trying to sort out me time to work on spells and ritual.  I have it narrowed down now to where I think I should be able to have private time between 1am and 4am, so I think I will make around 2 or 3 in the morning my
target time for personal time to focus on casting a circle and working spells.

I have been working on a dragon painting for the cover of an artist book that can be used for either an artist to keep their sketches or as a book of shadows by a pagan that loved dragon magic.

I’m very happy with how the book is turning out, but until I get back my desktop computer  I can’t share any pictures of it.  I’ll get some pictures of it as soon as I can, however, and share them with everyone here.

I have been working on getting a copy of my BOS organized for sharing with others in the form of a handbound BOS.  It is not exactly easy, since a lot of what will be going into it are actually things I have not written down before, being kept in my head rather than in any book or on a computer.  So many of my spells are done from memory rather than being read recipe-like from a BOS that I really never write many of them down, so creating a working BOS to share with others means a lot of things that were never written before now need to be set to paper to supplement my BOS and make it complete.

Since I have began to move the official Book of Shadows off onto its own area, which will I hope soon be finished and ready for everyone to see, I have decided that this will convert over into a blog dedicated to what I am up to with the spells I am designing, things I have seen that are kewl additions to a BOS, and information for anyone that is keeping their own BOS.

A Book of Shadows is a spell workbook, so that is what this blog is going to be, it will be my workbook for spells.  Want to learn how a spell is crafted?  Want to see the process that is gone through to create a spell?  Then this is the right place for you to start looking, because my goal here is to share what I am doing and what works – and what does not work and why I think it might have failed to work.

Today I am working on getting the template for this blog changed to a better looking template, giving it a more BOS type feel, so please bear with me as I work on that, thanks.
